HONESTY

I said something,
out if boiling curiosity.
The effect was something
I did not expect.
To a close, yet distant soul,
I am invisible,
hiding behind dishonesty.
I cannot speak eye to eye,
I cannot help but feel uneasy,
I don't want to come out
and face my fears.
This lie is spreading like a cancer,
crippling me mentally.
There is this unbearable fire
in my mind, burning...
How much ever I tried to hold on,
honesty has abandoned me completely.
